The snap-in functionality has been brought back. Love it! :)
Well it worked. .. After the Maverick upgrade it was gone. Even though Apple did a display upgrade it wasn’t enough, I’m still sloppy and this app cleaned things up so well. Thanks !
Love it!
This app is fantastic. I was looking between this app and Dockview, but after reading horrendous reviews how the developer crippled the software with an update, I decided to give this one a shot, and I’m glad I did. I love the features. I got it for the sole purpose of seeing the app window previews, but later noticed it came bundled with the windows7-like features. Nice!
I only have a Mac for iOS development and don’t like OSX at all. This made OSX use bearable.
By far the best app! Work great!
Great app - and the functionality of snapping and previews works pretty well. My major issue is that the preview does not work on minimized windows in Mavericks. I’m guessing that the app only gets the current display of the window and makes a thumbnail of it. Why not persist the thumbnail and then grab the persisted thumbnail in the case of a minimized window that takes up 0 width and 0 length of the screen? I’m guessing this is more complicated than it seems, but just a suggestion. If the minimized window issue is fixed then I will bump this up to 5 stars.
4 stars for everything but the fact that it doesnt show minimized windows. Thats a pretty important feature missing in my opinion and would like to see it fixed in the future. Its strange that in the preferences it has a checkbox for minimize/hidden windows yet it doesnt show either. Weird.
This is a great idea, but it doesn’t work for minimized windows. I paid $10 and it doesn’t have this feature, even though it’s the most basic of options. Please fix, and I’ll fix the review.
I’m an avid user of my macbook, and I’ve gone through quite a few of them, but if there’s only one commonality between them all… Is that they all have HyperDock. Thank you, Mac Dock
I did not realize how much I missed this feature when switching to a Mac fom a Windows machine, until I started using a Win7 PC at work. I can’t imagine going back now. If you are coming to the Mac after using Win7/8 this app is a must buy!
Please add iCloud/Dropbox support so that it can sync my config over all my Macs. Another thing is that I am using PDF Reader X, and if I unclicked “show non-windows apps” in HyperDock, this PDF Reader X cannot be displayed even though it has lots of openning documents. Please fix that. Thanks
So helpful. I have installed on every computer owned. I find myself trying the shortcuts when on a different computer and getting annoyed it doesn’t work. Super simple and quick to change between windows and resize if working on multiple applications.
love this app! i had been using dockview forever and this is a much better and prettier version! awesome! the only thing I don’t like about it is I don’t know why you guys don’t support running this as a menu bar app. I have at least 5 other applications from the Mac App Store that support this feature, and honestly it makes more sense than your website version and this version, one of which is in settings and the other which is just an app. You guys need to update this app to support menu bar background funcitoning…. allows users to visibly see the app is running and switch prefs more easily. Upgrade it and I will change my review to 5 stars for sure!
I have the paid version and have been having a problem with getting a response from them regarding my issue. They have not responded to emails or posts sent from their support page.
I love my MacBook Pro. Coming from 20 years of using a PC, that’s saying a lot! But I have hated getting used to the lack of the best features of Windows 7, like "hover previews” in the dock and window snapping. In one shot, HyperDock has given me back what I was missing, and did it an elegant, high-performance way. Thank you so much for creating this app. There are now two fewer reasons to ever go back to a PC!
This app is really great if you want the functionalities of window 7 and mac fusion. THe only annoying thing is when I play games and scroll to the bottom where my dock is, it will preview windows at times. Otherwise great app.
Great app, but I would loveto see this supported on OS X Yosemite as it crashes frequently!!!!
All those who has written about this app bring a necessity for Windows 7/8 users who work on Macs are absolutely correct. I was a little hesitant to spend $10 on this app, but now that I’ve gotten to use it, I can say that I gladly would pay upwards of $20-$25 if that were the selling price. I didn’t even notice until after buying- but look at the bottom of the description for the free trial before buying. There are some great tools that go above and beyond the features of Windows that work very well that I would never have even thought about for Windows or Mac. Also, the current version now allows the app to be quit and run in the background without appearing in the dock.
